Evapotranspiration

Evapotranspiration is the process when water is collectively lost by evaporation from the soil surface and tranpsiration from the plants over it. The rate of ET has been a focus of study by water engineers as it is an important loss that needs to be accounted for in order to meet irrigation demands.
